Thomas Jenkins was more than ready to leave behind the grind of his job in corporate America. When he saw the ad for the beloved Franklin Inn, a longstanding bar and grill in the Museum district, he jumped. It was exactly the kind of Cheers-like atmosphere he’d always looked for in a restaurant – and the kind where he saw himself. With some help from Filament and local serial restaurateur Steve Gooch, the seller, he was able to take over a fun, profitable, reliable concept and realize his dreams.
